About Mesensei
Solving problems, big and small
Mesensei was founded in 2016 to explore decentralised technologies in data-sensitive domains, such as innovation, healthcare and civil defence.
Most of our work is complex problem solving in uncharted technological domains.
Auto TextBack is not complex. It is simple.
It was born from Mesensei CEO Tuukka Ylälahti’s personal need to manage his time.
Enjoy!

Aalto University — Design, business and technology
Aalto University was created when three leading Finnish universities merged: the Helsinki University of Technology, the Helsinki School of Economics and the University of Art and Design Helsinki.
The idea was to break down the walls between technology, business and art, and put them under one roof to spark new ideas and entrepreneurship.

Otaniemi: Cradle of Finnish technology and innovation
In 1949, the Otaniemi manor lands were granted to the Helsinki University of Technology and VTT, the national research centre, to kick-start Finland’s high-tech industry.
Finnish design legends Alvar and Aino Aalto won the competition to plan the campus, and since then the Otaniemi peninsula has been spinning out success after success.
The University of Technology’s graduates fed the workforce of the companies that made the cape their home: Neste from 1976, Nokia from 1997 through its years as the world’s biggest phone maker, and Kone.
Alongside them grew a vibrant ecosystem of startups, from mobile gaming to satellites and quantum computing. University of Technology students founded Rovio, the studio behind Angry Birds, and ICEYE puts radar satellites into orbit straight out of Aalto research.
Today the cape is also a hub for quantum technology. IQM, a 2018 spin-off from Aalto University and VTT, builds full-stack quantum computers from its Keilaniemi headquarters, with quantum software and hardware companies such as QMill and QuantrolOx right next door.

— The home of Finnish design legends
Alvar Aalto planned our campus, and Aalto University carries his name.
Aalto’s design school has given the world Marimekko’s Unikko (Maija Isola) and Jokapoika shirt (Vuokko Nurmesniemi), Iittala’s glass birds and Kastehelmi (Oiva Toikka), Teema (Kaj Franck) and Ultima Thule (Tapio Wirkkala). Today it ranks 9th in the world for art and design (QS 2026).

Otaniemi: The startup ecosystem
Otaniemi runs on startups. Students started Aaltoes and Startup Sauna here, and the Aalto student crew grew Slush into one of the world’s biggest startup events. Kiuas, the Otaniemi founder community, is where Mesensei got its start, and A Grid is packed with growth companies.
